Spring Fling Fundraiser
At its annual fundraiser, the Broadway Democrats brought together members, supporters, and elected officials for an afternoon that celebrated both the club’s legacy and its ongoing impact at a pivotal moment for the community. The program reflected a year of meaningful action—from hosting widely attended candidate forums across Congressional Districts 12 and 13 and key statewide races, to mobilizing members for protests, trainings, and rapid-response efforts across New York City.
The club was proud to honor Congressman Jerry Nadler with the Laura J. Friedman Excellence in Democracy Award in recognition of his decades of extraordinary service and steadfast leadership.

We were also honored to present Hands Off NYC with the Ira & Jesse Frankel Community Service Award, recognizing the organization’s powerful grassroots mobilization across the five boroughs.
The afternoon was both a celebration and a reminder of what brings us together: a shared commitment to civic engagement, collective action, and defending democratic values. It highlighted not only what we have accomplished, but also the important work that still lies ahead.
