Food Accessibility, Food Affordability
​With recent changes to SNAP eligibility, many thousands of New Yorkers are expected to lose access to these vital benefits, increasing the urgency of efforts to address gaps in food access — especially access to healthy, affordable food.
The Broadway Democrats invite you to join us for a hybrid May Meeting looking at volunteer organization and legislative approaches to address gaps on Thursday, May 14th at 7:00pm. (Doors open at 6:45pm.)  Presenters will discuss pending legislative efforts to improve both the affordability and nutritional quality of food in New York State, as well as the innovative initiatives through which the West Side Campaign Against Hunger is working to support communities and expand access to nutritious food.

Club Business - Endorsement for State Comptroller
We will be endorsing for NY State Comptroller. The three candidates on the ballot in the June 23rd Primary are incumbent Tom DiNapoli and his challengers Drew Warshaw and Raj Goyle.
