The Crisis in
Israel & Gaza
Manhattan Boro President Mark Levine Councilmember Gale Brewer
other speakers invited
In November a dozen local Democratic elected officials spent three days in Israel, during which they saw for themselves the impact of the October 7 Hamas attack and Israel’s response. These officials visited some of the most impacted towns and engaged in critical conversations with local government and community leaders about the deepening crisis, including the desperate need for humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip.
Join us to hear from some of these officials who observed firsthand this “emergency that belongs to everyone,”
in the words of
Bronx Assemblymember Amanda Septimo.

Who Does What In State
And City Government?
A Civics Lesson On
How To Solve A Problem
Club Business begins at 7:30pm
Forum begins at 8:00pm
We can all get confused sometimes when trying to figure out which level of government handles which kind of issues. And then to make matters even more complicated, how do we find out within the level of government, who is the correct authority to ask? This forum will answer these questions and give the audience the tools and know-how to decipher the maze of bureaucracy. We are not solving the issues at hand today (that will be another forum/town hall in the future!), but we are learning about the process and how to find the correct contact!
